Fashionistas looking for the newest Louis Vuitton bags won’t be able to find them in Manhattan. Louis Vuitton artistic director Marc Jacobs and Japanese designer Takashi Murakami have teamed up once again to create the Monogramouflage collection for Louis Vuitton. The bags will first be available for sale at a Louis Vuitton store that will open at the Brooklyn Museum and at select Louis Vuitton stores later.

The store will be part of © Murakami exhibit that will run from April 5, 2008-July 13, 2008. Murakami described the store as the “heart of the exhibition.” The Louis Vuitton Store at the Brooklyn Museum will run through the duration of the ©Murakami exhibit. Small leather goods and pieces from the Monogram Multicolor collection, another Vuitton and Murakami collaboration, will also be available for sale in the store.

The entire affair will start off with the Brooklyn Ball, an event to celebrate the opening of ©Murakami, on April 3rd. The Ball will feature a special performance by Kanye West and an auction of signed Louis Vuitton pieces designed by Murakami.
