Crooklyn Dodgers Reunion
Hip-Hop heads get excited! Brooklyn rappers the Crooklyn Dodgers reunite at the Bandshell at Prospect Park on Saturday. O.C., Jeru the Damaja, Chubb Rock, EMC featuring Masta Ace, DJ Permier, Ali Shaheed Muhammad are all scheduled to appear. The event will be hosted by original members Buckshot and Special Ed.

Washington DC Caribbean Carnival
Get out your rags and your flags because It’s CARNIVAL!!! DC’s West Indian Massive take over the city with the annual parade and concerts by Fayanne Lyons and Bunji Garlin (Saturday) and Alison Hinds (Sunday). Experience the pagentry as mas camps decked out in colorful costumes compete in the Parade of the Bands. With all of that good music to dance to you are sure to work up an appetite. No worries there. Vendors will be selling delicious West Indian foods at Banneker Park. Jerk Chicken, Roti, Pelau, Codfish…I’m hungry already!!!
