The spring/summer forecast called for peep-toe booties, floral prints, safari chic, exotic prints and ombre. From the French meaning "shade," the seamless color gradient of ombre, gives clothes a very light, bohemian feel. It works on casual and more formal wear - flowy chiffons and fine silk. The trend has even made its way to shoes and handbags. With ombre/dip-dye, fading to black isn't the only option. The trend comes in ever color combination imaginable.
Celebrities have been caught up in the rapture of the Ombre Allure. In May, Janet Jackson wore an Alexander McQueen ombre kimono to the designer's LA Flagship Launch. Jordin Sparks looked uber feminine on the set of her "One Step At A Time" video. Thandie Newton rocked an ombre Matthew Williamson frock at the designer's event. Tyra Banks is casually chic with her patent leather Ombre Vernice Bowler by Prada. Back in 2002, Gwen Stefani wed in a white/pink John Galliano ombre gown - No surprise there!Interested in adding Ombre to your collection?
