Gossip Girl’s resident bad girl Blair Waldorf has emerged as a style icon amongst the shows fans. Unlike her BFF Serena Vanderwoodsen, who often looks as if she has thrown together random pieces of clothing for a boho chic look, Blair always looks polished. Since she is the daughter of a fashion designer, one could say Blair has fashion in her blood.
Ms. Waldorf is known for her hair accessories. She often pulls back her gorgeous brown tresses with a headband. It’s safe to assume she purchases her headbands at her favorite store, Henri Bendel.
Many a time, Blair is wreaking her own special havoc while traipsing the streets of New York. For this purpose, the teen has a fabulous collection of coats to ensure that the cold does not distract her from her evil deeds. Forget a puffy down jacket, Blair opts for mostly fitted wool coats. Primary colors and plaid are her styles of choice.
It can be hard standing out in the uniformed crowd of Constance Billard, the elite private school, that Blair attends. The Queen of Mean expresses her own personal style by dressing up her uniform with brightly colored opaque tights, a perfect way to stand out from the crowd and to keep her legs warm while lunching on the steps of the Met, and ordering her friends around.
Most of Blair’s clothes are very structured and heavily tailored. She often lets the prints and silhouettes do most of the talking for her. She puts a modern take on her classic look by accessorizing with gorgeous handbags, headscarves, and sunglasses, undoubtedly an influence from her idol Audrey Hepburn and the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s. As mean as she is, we can’t help but tune in to see what crazy scheme Blair will be involved in next, and what she’ll be wearing while she plans.

just call me Queen B from now on…or Queen K. Loved the post. Thanks for being so detailed with Blair Waldorf’s attire and for intertwining her fashion with her personality. Although, she looks amazing in red tights, I doubt any one else walking on the streets of NYC can look sane with red tights and blue shorts…except for Superman.
xoxo,
K
