Fresh-Faced for Spring

Although I vowed to use my Make Up For Ever #92 (purple eye shadow) as much as possible, I usually go with the minimal makeup look — particularly in the daytime. Whether it’s a 2 minute or 5 minute face, it’s all about appearing au naturale with minimal makeup. Beyoncé effortlessly pulled off this fresh-faced look while out & about in NYC last week.

On the Spring 2009 runways, various makeup trends were apparent: cat eyes & smokey eyes, a pop of color on the lips or lids and everything in between. In contrast, the “barely there” look was common as well. Charlotte Ronson, DKNY & Chris Benz are just a few of the designers that opted for the au naturale makeup look for their spring presentations.
