Chic Trends: Maxi Dresses

I don’t know about you, but every dress section I’ve perused has been chock full of colorful maxi dresses. During this very warm Memorial Day Weekend, maxi dresses were in full effect. From solid jersey knits, to silks with abstract prints, everybody had on a maxi dress!

Although I love a mini dress, I adore maxi dresses as well. They are just as fun & flirty with the additional length. Wear it alone or with a denim jacket or shawl for chilly nights. Flat sandals work best with this elongated look but if you need a little height, moderately heeled sandals will do.

These floor length dresses are available in different cuts as well. You can rock a sheath-like maxi or try out the more forgiving, A-line & full dresses that float away from the body. You can choose an empire waist, drop waist or create your own waist by adding a belt.

Strapless? Halter? One shoulder? Spaghetti straps? There are an assortment of styles for you to pick from. If you’re looking for more support & coverage, keyhole halters & a basic v-neck are perfect!

Here are a few O So Chic maxi dress picks for the summer:
