When the "legggings aren't just for the gym/dance studio" movement reemerged a few years ago, people were iffy about it. Leggings peeked out from under denim skirts & were tucked into UGGs. Nowadays, they are even accessorizing less casual looks consisting of dressy dresses and high heels. Leggings are everywhere and some people find a way to make them a part of their daily wardrobe. i.e. Amber Rose.Compared to her VMAs wreath/bird’s nest/mask/costume thingy & other indescribable ensembles, ripped leggings on Lady Gaga seem pretty tame. For the rest of us, this look is anything but conservative. Rihanna epitomizes "good girl gone BAD" in these diamond cut, Rodarte leather leggings.
Distressed denim was all the rage this summer & the distressed legwear trend hasn't lost its momentum. Ripped leggings are becoming kind of a big deal.
