Manicures are getting edgier and edgier. From bright nails, to Minx nails, to half moon manicures, it's clear that there are many, many ways to dress up your digits. One of this fall's nail trends is a twist on a popular style for clothing from Spring/Summer 2008.
The ombre effect has reemerged this season, but this time it's on the hands. Named one of the fall's "Must Have Manicures" by InStyle, the ombre effect starts with one color and gets lighter or darker with each finger. The trend evolved from the rainbow manicure (a different color of the rainbow on each nail) style that was popular during the summer.
You can get the look by choosing five colors in the same scheme or mixing a color of your choice with droplets of white or black until you get the shades that you want. Simple and stylish!
