Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
-The Sound of Music
It’s been said that if love something you should let it go. Well call me selfish, but I have no intention of giving up any of the things that made it onto my list of favorite things. From music to makeup, I can’t imagine 2009 without the following items.
Trey Songz’ album Ready is in constant rotation on my iTunes. From start to finish I never get tired of the album I have dubbed my “aural crack.” I think I’m addicted to it. The fashion lover in me adores my sequined pouch from TopShop, and my Lucky Brand over the knee boots are stylish and comfortable; they are also two of fall’s biggest trends. A scoop of Wine Cellar Sorbet or warm bubble bath with a Lush Bubble Bar are great ways to relax at the end of the day. And I absolutely love the long lasting scent of Idole d’Armani and the way my eyes “pop” after a stroke of my L’Oreal HIP eyeliner and a few coats of my Lancome mascara.
Top Row: Trey Songz Ready, $13.99 (Best Buy); Lush “The Comforter” Bubble Bar, $8.75 (Lush USA); Lancome Definicils High Definition Mascara, $24.50 (Sephora); Wine Cellar Sorbet Sangria Flavor (Wine Cellar Sorbets)
Bottom Row: Lucky Brand “Gwen” Over-the-Knee Boots, $239 (Bloomingdales); L’Oreal HIP Eye Liner Pencil, Black 902, $8.49 (Drugstore.com); Idole D’Armani, $62-$75 (Nordstrom); Sequin Pouch Cross Body Bag, $60 (TopShop)
