Milan Men’s Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2010 has wrapped up. Milan’s Men’s presentation is just one of the many Fall 2010 Fashion Week shows taking place around the globe this season. The collections showcased in Milan covered a wide spectrum of themes for Fall 2010. Some designers took the classic route with staple pieces and expertly tailored ensembles, while others opted for more eccentric and shabby chic looks.
Prada Men’s Fall 2010
John Varvatos Men’s Fall 2010
Models for both Prada & John Varvatos walked the runway in slim plants & perfectly fitting jackets. While an assortment of textures, colors and a dash of bold prints were present in the Prada collection, browns, grays and black dominated in Varvatos’ line. Fingerless gloves and scarves accessorized Varvatos’ neutral looks.
Dolce & Gabbana Men’s Fall 2010
Dolce & Gabbana showcased a collection of great formalwear. Models looked GQ in velvet blazers, vests and relaxed fitting pants. Thermal onesies/long johns were also paraded on the runway.
Vivienne Westwood Men’s Fall 2010
Oh Vivienne! The theme of Vivenne Westwood’s collection was hobo chic meets Zoolander meets every other character you can imagine. Cardboard boxes lined the runway and shopping carts served as props. Models wore everything — literally. Layers were key. The unsurprisingly quirky collection included everything from pseudo parachute pants and patchwork blazers to high-water pants and embellished kilts. As if every intentional fashion faux pas hadn’t already been demonstrated on the runway, models wore belts with suspenders. At least no one was looking like a fool with their pants on the ground.
