Of course shorts are a summer must-have. On days when it’s too hot for pants or you don’t want to worry about your dress flying up a la Marilyn Monroe’s famous “The Seven Year Itch” moment — shorts are your best bet.
Shorts, as we know, are available in a few different lengths. Hot pants — are admittedly hot and aren’t for timid, shrinking violets. These short shorts almost aren’t even shorts anymore! Mid-length shorts that hit mid-thigh are the more commonly worn and universally flattering shorts. Bermuda shorts graze the knee and are perfect for those looking for a bit more coverage.
If you don’t know what length or cut is most flattering on you, try on an assortment of shorts. The goal is to have your legs looking as long and lean as possible! If you’re looking for a more free flowing pair of shorts, culottes may be for you. Culottes give you the skirt/skort look while wearing shorts.
Khaki, denim, high-waisted, prints, and nautical inspired are some of the many shorts styles you can find. Check out our chic shorts picks!
