2011 SAG Awards Red Carpet Recap

Amy Adams in Hervé Leroux and Rosario Dawson in J. Mendel

Award season is well underway and last night, TV and movie stars graced the red carpet at the 17th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. I can’t tell you who won which awards, but I can tell you which actors get my vote for best dressed.

The Fighter star Amy Adams looked great in a body conscious Herve Leroux number and I like that Rosario Dawson paired her pale yellow J. Mendel gown with bright green earrings. The platform peep-toe shoes were a perfect choice to show off her legs through the front slit.

Amber Riley in Anne Barge, January Jones in Carolina Herrera and Julie Bowen in Catherine Malandrino

I don’t have enough words to describe how much I adore Amber Riley’s look. The ruching on the black Anne Barge gown followed her curves and her pink lipstick was a nice splash of color. Not that I’m surprised, the Glee star is always one of my favorite red carpet style stars. Another person who rarely disappoints me is January Jones. Though I have absolutely no tolerance for her Mad Men character, Betty Draper, the real life Jones look phenomenal in a black and gold lace gown from the pre-fall 2011 Carolina Herrera collection. Modern Family’s Julie Bowen took a risk by choosing to wear a Catherine Malandrino jumpsuit, rather than a dress, and I think it was worth it.

Mila Kunis in Alexander McQueen and Claire Danes in Louis Vuitton

Can something be red hot and ethereal at the same time? Well, those are both descriptions that come to mind about the Alexander McQueen number that Black Swan star Mila Kunis chose for the award ceremony. Finally, there is Claire Danes in Louis Vuitton. She also chose to wear a print and I love the look black belt against the blue flowers.

Those are my picks for the SAG best dressed. Did I forget anyone? Whose red carpet looks did you love?
