Chic Peek | Versace for H&M

Share

As bloggers, we are inundated with press releases. Some are gems, most are trash. At 2:01 AM on Tuesday morning, a diamond made its way to our inbox. The subject read: Versace to Design Iconic Collection for H&M this Autumn.

I was uber excited when I saw the email. I’ve always thought of Versace as fun, daring, sexy, and out of my price range. A Versace for H&M collection is well within my budget.

H&M’s creative advisor described the Versace for H&M pieces as “glamorous and flamboyant.” With this collection, the house’s creative director, Donatella Versace, joins the ranks of Alber Elbaz (Lanvin) and Tamara Mellon (Jimmy Choo), who also created lines for the company. “The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere,” Donatella said.

H&M released a few photos of the collection. Shoppers can expect cutout dresses, studded leather jackets, and sexy stillettos. The press release also made mention of home decor pieces, such as cushions and bedspreads, when the collection hits stores in November.

We’ll have to wait a few more months for more photos of the collection, but I like what I see so far. Do you think you’ll stand in line to get first dibs on the collection?
