L’Oreal True Match MatchMaker App | Find Your True Match Shade

Light to deep complexions. Yellow or red undertones. Warm, cool, neutral…so many factors go into buying the perfect shade of foundation & it can be very daunting for a makeup newbie. That’s where L’Oreal comes in. With the L’Oreal True Match MatchMaker app (available on iTunes), you can find your “true match” in a matter of seconds. Answer a few multiple choice questions about your hair, skin, complimentary colors and voila, True Match MatchMaker calculates your “true match” liquid foundation.

As you can see, True Match MatchMaker matched me with Deep Golden – W10 (W=Warm). When I tweaked a few of my answers, however, the app matched me with Mahogany – N9 (N=Neutral). Once matched, you can use the store locator to find where your shade may be in stock.

The L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable line doesn’t end there. There are also powders, concealers and blushes.

I tried L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Foundation in Cocoa (N8). It’s a good product for setting foundation. You can also use it over a bare face on those minimal makeup days.

I also picked up a couple of the L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Blushes. I already had my eye on “Spiced Plum” & I picked up “Apricot Kiss” because it seemed to have highlighter potential for my deep complexion. I was right. Apricot Kiss (N-5-6) is a pale peach-pink with some shimmer. A light dusting of it down the bridge of my nose and on the top of my cheekbones was perfect. Spiced Plum (N8) is a really pretty mauve. With a light hand, it gives my deep complexion, subtly rosy cheeks.

This L’Oreal True Match line is exactly what it says it is — super blendable. The liquid foundation blended well & the powders/blushes I tested did not have a chalky application.
Download the the True Match MatchMaker App (iTunes), try the recommended products and tell us about your experience!

  1. I really want to try the blush. It so hard to find darker skinned beauty bloggers that review these products. Thanks for showing us the swatches.
