Duro Olowu for JCPenney

I’m totally loving designer collaborations right now. It seems that they get better and better with each announcement. One of the next high-meets-low collabs to hit the racks will be Michelle Obama favorite, Duro Olowu for JCPenney.

The Nigerian born and London based lawyer turned designer is mostly known for his beautifully tailored, vibrantly printed dresses and their high end price tags. Fashion lovers are in luck though, because Olowu’s the limited edition JCPenney line will sell for $10 – $100 when it hits stores.

Years ago, Melanie and I used to go out for what we then called “Frolic in Frock Fridays.” Olowu’s cost-conscious line would have been perfect for those Spring and Summer nights that we spent traipsing around New York City. Though we no longer frolic on Fridays (I like nothing more than to go home and relax on my couch at the end of the work week), I can definitely see myself donning many of the looks to Saturday brunch (my favorite way to kick off the weekend), or to a mid week event.

Duro Olowu for JCPenney will sell from March 1, 2013 – end of May in stores and online. You can see more looks from the line on our Facebook page.

Will you shop Duro Olowu for JCPenney?
