@TJMaxx Six Degrees of Self-Expression: What Does Your Wardrobe Say About You?

In collaboration with Dr. Baumgartner—psychologist and T.J.Maxx closetologist—T.J.Maxx presents the Six Degrees of Self-Expression. With the six degrees of self-expression, your wardrobe is used to “diagnose” your style persona and what that says about you—inside and outside of your closet.

Earlier in the week, I had the opportunity to see the six style personas, get my style persona diagnosis and mingle with media and the TJ team. The six personas were represented by six closets, set up in an NYC penthouse. Before I even took the quick, style persona quiz, I thought I would be a Closet Chameleon. Then again, I saw a little bit of Melanie in all six closets—so who really knew!

Six Style Personas—The Six Degrees of Self-Expression

Systematic Stylist: An organized woman in every aspect of her life, from her categorized closet and inspiration boards to her calculated shopping.Systematic-Stylist_TJMaxx-six-degrees-self-expression-style-persona-dr-baumgartner

Free-Styler: She goes with the flow in life and with her wardrobe. While she may be viewed by others as disorganized, it all makes sense in her mind.Free-Styler_tjmaxx-six-degrees-self-expression-style-persona-dr-baumgartner

Devoted Dresser: She has her go-to pieces that she wears with confidence and organizes her closet and her shopping trips for efficiency.Devoted-Dresser_tjmaxx-six-degrees-self-expression-style-persona-dr-baumgartner

Closet Chameleon: She has the ability to transform herself depending on environment – accountant by day and rocker by night.Closet-Chameleon_tjmaxx-six-degrees-self-expression-style-persona-dr-baumgartner

Trend Trailblazer: She is always looking for ways to push her comfort boundaries and aims to create looks that no one else has seen before. She has a diverse wardrobe that is organized like a workspace to facilitate the creative process.Trend-Trailblazer_tjmaxx_six-degrees-self-expression-style-persona-dr-baumgartner

Show Stopper: She lights up the room with her wardrobe and personality. If she can see it across the room, it makes its way in her cart.Show-Stopper_tjmaxx-six-degrees-self-expression-style-persona-dr-baumgartner

Once I took the T.J.Maxx Style Persona Quiz, my results showed that I was a Trend Trailblazer. I’ll take that! Although I loved everything in each closet, I knew for sure I definitely was NOT a Systematic Stylist, nor a Devoted Dresser. Since I am a Trend Trailblazer and all ;-), T.J.Maxx gifted me with a trendy, black bowler bag with stud detailing. I was actually on the hunt for a black, statement bag for fall and T.J.Maxx crossed that off my list. Gracias!tjmaxx-black-studded-bowler-bag-fall-2013-bag-trends-osochic
