I’m an avid online shopper. Clothes, beauty products, decor, craft supplies — I buy an assortment of items from my phone and laptop. However, when it comes to glasses I never ventured into the online space–until now.

Prescription glasses are equal parts function and fashion. When it comes to the style aspect, glasses cam make or break your look. You can scan face charts all day, attempting to figure out what glasses look best on your round, oval, square or heart shaped face. Ultimately, you have to try on glasses to know what will work best for you. Maybe you don’t want to go to your local vision center. What about trying on glasses with a 3D app? With the Glasses.com 3D Virtual Try-on App, you can experiment with tons of glasses styles from the comfort of your home–or pretty much anywhere!

The Glasses.com 3D App is really cool. The app takes a 3D image of your face, allowing you to see how each pair of glasses will look on you. You get a frontal view, side views and the ability to adjust the arms and placement of the glasses. I played around with the app for hours because there were so many good options to select from. You can narrow down your selection by brand, price and style.

I posted some of my virtual favorites to Instagram & Facebook to get your opinions. After all of that fuss, I went with completely different frames. Womp womp! I’ve always loved the red frames worn by Sally Jesse Raphael, buut I wasn’t sure if I was totally ready to jump into a sea of bright red. Instead, I opted for wine colored frames from Roberto Cavalli.

They are oversized, a little bit on the geek chic side and totally what I needed. Considering my previous glasses recently broke and only quick thinking and E-6000 glue are holding them together, these new frames came right on time!

I also wear contact lenses, but I believe your glasses should always be chic in case you have a contacts mishap. Spring is right around the corner and is it the perfect time to spruce up your style. Why not get rid of the frumpy frames and pick up stylish glasses? To help you get started, Glasses.com is offering 15% off your purchase with the code: gls15off. You can use the app to select your glasses and add to cart, but you’ll have to use the glasses.com site to add the discount code. For a limited time, basic lenses are free with all frames.

Thank you glasses.com for the new glasses!
