It’s the weekend! This seemed like the longest week ever, but alas, good times are ahead for the weekend. If you’re wondering what to do in NYC this weekend, I’ve got a few event options for you. There’s the Ready, Set, Thrift! shopping event, food and festivities at the Feast of San Gennaro and the new high heels exhibition at Brooklyn Museum. Whatever you do, have an O So Chic weekend!

What: Ready, Set, Thrift!
When: Saturday, September 13th (5:30pm -7:30pm)
Where: Housing Works Buy the Bag

Patrice of Looking Fly on a Dime is hosting another one of her highly anticipated thrift shopping events. At Ready, Set, Thrift! you’ll be able to scour tons of clothing and accessories. Whatever items you can fit into the bag will only cost $25/bag! There will be raffles, fun giveaways and a panel discussion featuring thrifting pros. Tickets MUST be purchased in advance. (Limited $15 tickets will be available at the door.) Your ticket includes two raffle tickets, drinks & light snacks.

What: 88th Annual Feast of San Gennaro
When: through Sunday, September 21st
Where: Mulberry Street, Little Italy

Eat, drink and be merry at the Feast of San Gennaro over in Little Italy! The annual festival takes over Mulberry for 11 days. What: Killer Heels: The Art of the High-Heeled Shoe Exhibition
When: through February 15, 2015
Where: Brooklyn Museum

Killer Heels explores fashion’s most provocative accessory. From the high platform chopines of sixteenth-century Italy to the glamorous stilettos on today’s runways and red carpets, the exhibition looks at the high-heeled shoe’s rich and varied history and its enduring place in our popular imagination.
