Crop Top Trend | Spring 2011

It seems like belly-baring tops are making their way back into closets around the world this year. The crop top trend for spring/summer 2011 has been all over the runways courtesy of Yves Saint Laurent, Rodarte, Rag & Bone, etc. Your favorite celebrity fashionistas are rocking the crop top trend too.

Crop Top Trend Celebs & Runway

Solange graced the pink carpet at the Victoria’s Secret 2011 SWIM Collection party in a Zsou Zsou cropped tank from Boxing Kitten. Midriff-baring tops in vibrant prints were popular in Versace’s Spring 2011 collection. Cassie rocked DimePiece’s La Mode Crop Top for her starring role in Wiz Khalifa’s “Roll Up” video while Rihanna was spotted in Sydney, Australia wearing a knit, mock neck, Alexander Wang, crop tank.

If your tummy isn’t uber toned, no need to fret. Pair your crop tops with high-waisted pants, shorts & skirts. This will leave just a sliver of skin peeking out. Many crop tops come in styles that actually cover your belly (until you raise your arms!) If you have a slouchy, off the shoulder crop top, wear a tank underneath for coverage. I’ve even seen ladies wearing crop tops over tank dresses too. Play around with crop top looks and wear what works for you. To help you get started, check out these chic crop tops for spring/summer 2011!
